ATSF 2-8-0 #813 - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe         
Built by Burnham, Wms & Company (Baldwin predecessor) in January of 1902, ATSF 2-8-0 #813 served the Santa Fe well in passenger service at first. Specs - serial #19972, class 789, 57" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 17x32" high pressure cylinders, 28x32" low pressure cylinders, engine weight of 202,360 lb, tractive effort of 42,321 lb. The entire 789 class of Vauclain compound locomotives was simplified starting in 1907. Retirements started in late 1930's and continued for nearly 20 years. No date or photographer was listed for the photo.
