Description: |
Southern Pacific (Texas & New Orleans) Mk-5 class Mikado 777 was built at Alco’s Brooks Works in August 1916, and it was upgraded with a superheater, a feedwater heater and increased boiler pressure in January 1931. It was shown here at the Algiers Shops in New Orleans in the summer of 1950, probably awaiting some maintenance, as it was not disposed of until 8 February 1955 when it was sold to Houston Compressed Steel for scrap.
