Description: |
WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona during August of 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engine #5768 and another unit whose number is not recorded. #5768 is an EP-22 built by EMD in 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They are backing-up (with an REA Express Refrigerator Car) to couple onto a passenger train and pull it to Altoona, Pittsburgh, and points West. Partially visible in the distance are the PRR's HARRIS Tower and the southern colums of the Market Street Bridge. |
