Wayne Hudak General If only we had the use of a Time Machine! 6/18/2009 6:09:46 PM
Robert Anderson General Another quality Marty shot. In 1968 she showed up in just maroon, but in full dress. 1298 workrd IG several years. These RI transfers were some of the fastest things on rails in the Twin Cities. Reason, the crew was based on the 100mi day. They had 12-16 hrs back then. Turns to the NP,GN and Milw Mpls fruit house were common. 3 100 mile days in 1. We could put them out of Division ST (NP or GN) or Hoffman AV (Milw) 5 mins ahead of a passenger no problem for the short 10 mi hop to Newport(exit joint track to IG). We used to say "if one of these Rocket transfers ever left the track, they wouldn't leave any marks. They would just be airborne". We routinlely did this and before CTC with train order hoops and lever plants. 3/4/2018 4:43:32 PM
