| Ex-Northern Pacific 24 single/8 double room Slumbercoach-Budd 1959-One of a 12 car order split up between Northern Pacific(4), New York Central(4), Baltimore and Ohio(3) & Missouri Pacific(1). NP #328 Loch Ness was to become Burlington Northern #1483 but was sold to Amtrak in 1971 in full NP dress and became AMTK 2027. It was rebuilt with head end power (HEP) in 1980 and renumbered 2097. Retired in 1996 and sold to the Inland Empire Chapter NRHS. Purchased by Webb Rail in 2018 and currently carries WEBX reporting marks. (Webbrail.com) |
