| This appears to be one of the first photos of Colorado and Southern 2-8-0n #60 after it was put on display in Idaho Springs, CO. It was built by the Rhode Island Locomotive Works in March of 1886 originally as Utah & Northern #263. In September of 1890, it moved over to the Denver, Leadville & Gunnison roster as their #263. Upon retirement in May of 1941, it was put on permanent display in Idaho Springs, CO. Original specs - 3' narrow gauge, 37" drivers, modest 150 psi boiler pressure, 16x18" cylinders, very modest engine weight of 71,030 lb and very modest tractive effort of 15,816 lb.
