| Date approximate. Looking north from 5&20 (W. Main St.), a view of the EL yard in Avon (pre-LA&L) from *I think* a school bus on a day trip. The station is in use; crews are based in Avon; the line to Batavia is intact; and one can get a deal on a used Corvair (probably a trade-in) from Beikirch Ford next door. Notice it is sitting on RR property. Don't want it to infect any new Fords! Ick! Lots of wagons! The caboose is probably either C129 or C140. |
