A CN crew sorts cars at the former C&NW yard at Appleton Junction, WI on 1 Jun. '19. After finishing here, they will head for Kimberly and Combined Locks. The former Appleton Wood Products Co. factory, now part of the Miller Electric facility, is partially visible at right. Built in 1916, the walls include some nice, decorative brickwork (including cast or carved keystones depicting bowling pins above the windows), which Miller obscured with cheap metal siding at some point after they bought it ca. 1975. W. 2nd St. bisects the scene. |
