Southbound BNSF
A southbound BNSF train behind ES44AC 6094 and C44-9W 5126 was rolling passed the Wabtec/GE interchange at Justin, Texas. The name of this switch on the BNSF is Lambert. The locomotives on the interchange were BNSF rebuilt B40-8W’s 526 and 514 along with new Canadian National ET44AC 3173. This is a mile and a half north of Wabtec/GE’s Fort Worth plant, and at one time the track in the right foreground was the BNSF (ex-ATSF) main line between Fort Worth and Oklahoma City. BNSF eventually rerouted its main line, GE acquired a part of the old BNSF line for use as a connection and a test track, added a second track (on the left) and extended a single track a mile and a half to the north (going off on the right).
