| The southwest and southeast walls of the interurban passenger depot and substation originally built by the Sheboygan Light, Power & Railway Co. (SLP&R) at Plymouth, WI, as seen on 6 May '17. It was built at the intersection of Depot St. and Reed St. between 1903 and 1910 according to the Sanborn maps, likely in 1904 when the line was laid. The depot is labeled “M.F.R.V. Elec. R.R.” on the 1910 Sanborn map. SLP&R was formed in 1894. It became the Sheboygan Railway & Electric Co. (SR&E) in 1910, followed by the Eastern Wisconsin Electric Co. in 1917, and Wisconsin Power & Light Co. (WP&L) in 1924. Currently used by ZR, LLC, concrete services and snow removal. |
