GTW 5945
Here's an oddball second in line on the coal train parked at Penford. CN logo, GTW lettering but the smaller words say it's owned by ALSTROM. Also note the wierd canopy behind the engineers door.

There's a bunch of those running around. Originally CN, Alstom owns them, they were long term leased to KCS for the past 10 years or so, they're leased to the CN subsidiary GTW now, and those "weird" hoods are snow shields over the engine intakes. Lost of Canadian units have them. They keep snow from caking up on the intakes and starving the engine.
