My favorite photo of the day; 425 has uncoupled from the trainset and pulled ahead onto the right track (which is the beginning of the Minersville Branch) to allow #113 on the left to back up and couple onto the train as the trailing locomotive on the double headed train. These photos from West Cressona were unscripted, and a real bonus for the railfans who found their way out to this spot. CNJ 113 is on the former Reading main line that leads up to Pottsville, where the RBMN railroad keeps the Yuengling Brewery supplied with covered hopper cars full of barley, malt, and hops. |
