Two Rio Grande SD50's along with a Rio Grande Tunnel Motor are in charge of a loaded Southern Pacific coal train heading west at Thistle. Back in 1983,a mudslide forced the relocation of both the highway and Rio Grande Mainline,also damming up the Spanish Fork River creating Lake Thistle.
