| The GM&O line tied into the IC right behind these trees. They used the IC for 12 miles via trackage rights to cross the Ohio River on their Cairo Bridge. At Cairo the GM&O split off towards Tamms (and eventually Alto Pass, Murphysboro, Sparta and St. Louis) on its own rails again. |
