MWCR 2 on a "down" train, departing the summit of Mt. Washington  Contributor's Pick!       
By opening / closing several valves while sitting at the summit station the locomotive is essentially converted into a large air compressor for the "down" trip. Steam pressure is kept up for a possible shove into a passing siding.
