| A Switcher moves a cut of Cars at Savannah Yard. This was the SALs new Yard built in the 1950s. It is still in operation in this view. By 1986, all freight operations would be moved to nearby Southover yard, the old ACL facility. Today, Savannah yard is an Intermodal Facility and CSX parks Coal Trains here as well. The Savannah West Route heads south to Burroughs. (Former SAL) |
