| A friendly wave from the conductor was captured by an unknown rail fan while the loco moved slowly through the Buckeye Yard in Columbus, OH. GE built this loco in November of 1967 originally as NYC 2879 but after the collapse of NYC & PRR, the loco landed on the PC roster as PC 2879. Follwoing the PC collapse, it was dumped on the Conrail roster as CR 2879. No final disposition was found - presumedly scrapped during the Conrail era. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
