Jerry LaBoda General It looks like one of the Rock Island's 72-seat coaches, which was originally built for the G.E. "More Power to America Special." The car originally had corrugated sides and was used as a exhibit car for the G.E. train. One was said to remain around... 356 TUCUMCARI, but I am uncertain as to what happened to it. 2/22/2010 6:14:54 PM
John Burgersmith General Mike has cars of NP heritage, and I am certain this is original NP. 2/25/2010 2:24:25 PM
Jerry LaBoda General I believe that John is correct. Looking at the small window on the non-vestibule end you can see what appears to be a seam that could be from where the window was shortened, possibly an indicator that the car was formerly a Traveler's Rest lounge. Thanks, John!!! 5/25/2010 10:53:14 PM
