7570 started life as a PRR GP9 and was rebuilt into a GP10 by Precision National, Mt Vernon, Illinois, to become Conrail 7570. Illinois Western aquired unit from the Dead Line at Altoona,PA sidelined with a bad Main Generator which IWRR rebuilt. 7570 was the last GP10 to run on Conrail as EMD 567 units were phased out.

7570 is shown here on the tail end of the Hodgson Mill siding on the Effingham Rail Road [EFRR] a sister road to Illinois Western, hence the painting in EFRR colours like EFRR 2716 a SW1200. The other tracks in the photo lead into and around the TQW Warehouse and Ops HQ of EFRR.
