Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad F7 165A eastbound at Naperville, Illinois on August 12, 1966, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Seen here with the sanders on, #165A is leaving Naperville after performing switching duties normally done by the East End Way Freight, which apparently had been annulled this day for reasons I do not know. I witnessed this three locomotive set switch Kroehler Mfg. Co. (the building in the background), normally switched by a NW2 or a GP7, and they were quick to leave town. CB&Q F7 165A was built in May 1950 (c/n 9694) and traded in on an order for SD45's in February 1969. |
