Description:  Burlington Route 5 compartment-6 double bedroom (5C-6DB) sleeper #451 SILVER QUAIL (Budd, Lot #9641-112, Pullman Plan #9534, July 1952, CALIFORNIA ZEPHYR), sold to Amtrak in 1971 as #2201, converted in 1983 to head end power (HEP) as #2220 (2nd), retired in 1995 and sold in 1997 to (presumably) Illinois Transit Assembly, which later became Gateway Coach, car is now owned by Mid America Railcar Leasing (MRLX) as #800712 and leased to Iowa Pacific, currently in IC colors with the name BELLEVILLE. Scanned with an Epson V550 from an original Kodachrome 35mm slide. Exact date is approximate.

Title:  AMTK 2201
Description:  Amtrak 2201, named SILVER QUAIL (ex-CB&Q 451, same name), stored at Michigan City, Indiana on July 12, 1982, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This car was built by Budd on Job 9641-112, ordered in March 1951, delivered between July and August 1952. The order was for six cars configured with six Bedrooms and five Compartments. The six cars were for the California Zephyr, three cars for the CB&Q, one for the D&RGW, and two for the WP.
