Four Marion Plywood cars (GLVX 20, GLVX 28, GLVX 30, and GLVX 25) spotted on the team track in New London, WI on 23 Jul. '14. Usually there are only 1 or 2 cars spotted here at a time. This facility is serviced by CN via a combination of former GB&W and C&NW rails from Appleton. The cars are owned by Marion Plywood Corp. (est. 1894); the logs are trans-loaded to trucks for the 24-mile trip to their mill at Marion, WI. Marion had rail service, courtesy C&NW from 1879 to 1982. |
