MCC 981590
Title:  MCC 981590
Description:  The newest addition to the Whippany Railway Museum's collection. After years of display at the NYS&W Newfoundland station, this former PRR cabin car was moved by flatbed to the first site of the defunct Morris County Central Railroad for restoration. 985190 served as the MCC's first caboose and later as the gift shop at both the Whippany and Newfoundland locations.

Reminder of a Bygone Era
Title:  Reminder of a Bygone Era
Description:  Once a common sight here at Whippany, the MCC operated steam trains here from 1965-1973 when they moved to the NYS&W line at Newfoundland and were replaced by the M&E operated Whippany Toonerville Railroad. Shut down in 1980, this railroad helped pave the way for the current Whippany Railway Museum as well as the preservation community in New Jersey at large.

Reunion of Sorts
Title:  Reunion of Sorts
Description:  Two wooden cabooses are reunited after many years at the former site of the Morris County Central Railroad. While the former PRR cabin car is obvious of its MCC affiliation, the D&H car in the background also served the fallen tourist railroad as red, white and blue MCC 1776 during the Bicentennial year.
