Description:  Here is page two of a five-page article by Harold Bosch entitled "Guardians Of The Rails." It was published originally in the October 1941 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 29. Shown here is Sperry Rail Service "Detector Car" #127, built by the St. Louis Car Company for the Boston & Maine Railroad during 1926, purchased by SRS in August of 1939, and retired circa 2018 after 92 years of faithful service.
