| Description: |
Although almost looking like CR 5070 instead of 5078, this Alco C425 unit now sits in a storage/scrap line at the Conway, PA, yard. Originally built at PRR 2444, it eventually was renumbered CR 5078 not too long before being retired on 12/26/1979. CR conductor Ken Taylor took this color slide but due to color degradation, I flipped it to a b&w image to save it. |
