Good looking 2-8-0 Consolidation with a head of steam sitting in the Rochester, MN, yard. Originally built by Baldwin in 1910 as a class G-3 #300 but rebuilt and renumbered by CGW shops twice, once between 1915-19 and again in 1927. Final rebuild specifics - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 240,500 lb, tractive effort of 54724 lb. Exact date in 1947 was not given. unknown photographer |
