Description:  This is a Marathon Maple Festival excursion train that ran from Jamesville to Marathon, NY. The train is led by steam engine #142, so, they are actually going away from us here. You can see the snowpacked ice still on the surface of West River Road; a dirt road that runs parallel with the tracks and the Tioughnioga River for at least a good couple of miles.

Description:  Love the SD45 carbody, hated leading with it long hood forward. On train SY-1 with our train from Syracuse on the main we are picking up more cars on the siding at Apulia. Picture here taken as I was pulling South with our pickup. This was from the, back then, recently rebuilt NYSW 3634.

Description:  Lacking a tripod I used anything I could for a stable platform, but the ground didnt work so well. An attempted night reflection shot in the puddle at Suit-Kote didnt come out like I had planned.
