Album Info:R&N 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive #425 teamed up with R#N Diesel #2397 to operate an Iron Horse Ramble on what's left of the ex-Reading Company's Perkiomen Branch - Emmaus down to Pennsburg. One of the highlights of the trip was passing through the Dillingerville Tunnel, which passes underneath the Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike between Vera Cruz and Dillingerville, PA. This is also the watershed between Lehigh and Perkiomen (Schuylkill) drainage, and the highest elevation on the old Perk branch. (at the South Portal). We rode the morning train and chased the afternoon one.
