Album Info:The Huron Central operate one of the two yards in Sault Ste Marie. They are part of the Genesee And Wyoming Family. The main trafffic in the yard is log carrying bulkheads and evans coil cars. The yard is not accessable to the general public so the photos had to be taken from the road using the zoom function to our best ability. The locomotives were sitting in front of the mechanical shops. The locomotive paint scheme is the same as their parent company's. The locomotives were sitting there in the yard shut down for the night. The Huron Central's sister company The Quebec Gatineau Railway also part of the Genesee And Wyoming family, had two locomotives parked in the Sault Ste Marie yard far from their home in Quebec. I actually didn't realize that they were Quebec Gatineau locomotives until my dad pointed it out to me when we were going over our pictures. With the same paint scheme it was a hard detail to pick up in the light of the setting sun from a road side.
