Album Info:This series of photos chronicle the afternoon eastbound train dropping down into Antonito from a vantage point a few hundred feet west of MP 286. The train has only a little over 6 miles to travel b4 it pulls into the station at MP 280.7. /DL

Description:  The westbound train is over 3 track miles away but only about 1.6 miles away as the crow flies. At this point the track has a shot loop out of New Mexico into Colorado then right back into N.M. Note the rail in the foreground at the bottom of the view.

Description:  The train is at about MP 289 and the track car is near MP 286.5 Each train had a track car running about 2 miles ahead as well as a 2nd track car 2 miles or so behind.
