But the train was just leaving the yard, headed for Welland via the CP connector track. The chase was on! It was a really long train, on the way out, but on the way back, it was just the engine running light - and long-hood forward. |

Normally this doesn't bother me one bit, but today, I'm on schedule to meet up with the ALGONOVA, and will not get there in time. It'll be a good ten minutes before this heavily-loaded mixed freight train has cleared the crossing. |

Almost identical, somewhat accidental, CP train encounter as yesterday. I was headed for Brookfield to check to see if there was a green signal on the CP connector track. But before I even got there, the signal lamps came on at Brookfield Road crossing, forcing me to make a quick u-turn, and head back to Miller Road for a nice pic in the sunshine. And I got there just in time. |
