Album Info:Here is another group of b&w photos of 2-8-2 Mikados that Alco-Brooks built for the New York Central RR. Some of these photos have information and some don't.

Title:  NYC 2-8-2 #9558 - New York Central
Description:  Built by Alco-Brooks in sometime in February of 1917, this 2-8-2 Mikado was originally built as Pittsburgh, McKeesport & Youghiogheny #9558 (serial #56781, class H-8b), a subsidiary member of the NYC. In February 29, 1948, it and a few other sister Mikados were sent to the Monongahela RR and renumbered #198. No information was included on the photo so the date and location are arbitrary.

Title:  NYC 2-8-2 #1368 - New York Central
Description:  Nice example of a March 1907 Schenectady built 2-8-0 #2891 rebuilt in 1916 by Brooks into a 2-8-2 Mikado #3923, renumbered in August 1936 to #1368, scrapped in March 1957. Only the year 1947 was listed as the date for the photo. No location or photographer listed.

Description:  Good example of a 1907 Alco-Schenectady 2-8-0 Consolidation built for the CCC&StL as #6693, class G5h, rebuilt by Brooks in December 1913 as a 2-8-2, class H-5l #6974 (NYCL), renumbered in 1914 to #6034 (NYCL), renumbered again in August 1936 to #1534 (NYC), sold for scrap in April 1952. Description:  Here's another example of an Alco-Brooks rebuild of an older 2-8-0 Consolidation into a Mikado, delivered as IHB #5455 class G5x. Rebuilt by Brooks into NYCL #4107, a 2-8-2 class H-5p in July 1915 and it would be renumbered to NYC #1595 in August 1936, solf for scrap in March 1952. No information was listed for this photo so an arbitrary date and location were used.

Title:  NYC 2-8-2 #2023 - New York Central
Description:  With its number crossed out, bell and main drive rod missing, this 1913 Alco-Brooks 2-8-2 Mikado (serial #54115) is awaiting the torch. It was an H-7c class member and originally built as Michigan Central #7923 but renumbered in 1936 to NYC 2023. Original specs - 63" drivers, 190 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, engine weight of 338,400 lb, tractive effort of 56,100 lb. The photo credit goes to "Garys photo" (not me).
