Title: |
NYC 0-8-0 #8971 - New York Central |
Description: |
This 0-8-0 beefy yard switcher is another example of one built by Lima in 1924 as a U-3e class member and built for the Michigan Central subsidiary. The original loco number was renumbered later as #7871. No information was given for this photo so date & location are approximate. Thanks to Alan Fricker (see comment below) for identifying it as a Lima loco - missed the builder's plate completely and to Bernie Moening for the info on the year & class. |
