Album Info:Today my friend TJ and I took a big chance on one of the most undocumented railways in the United States. Let's just say we were more than surprised and pleased with what we got! Enjoy!

GMTX 728
Title:  GMTX 728
Description:  TJ and I hunkered down in Milton for the next spot. We waited and waited and waited, and for some reason the train never seemed to show up. My friend Chris showed up at the scene after giving him some info about today and we continued to wait a little longer before we decided to cut back into Cambridge City to see what the problem was. We saw that the train was stopped across Hunnicut Road, so we went down to the crossing and the conductor was sitting at the crossing. He said that the two engines were experiencing too much wheel slip making the grade into Milton, so an engine was being brought out of the yard in Connersville to come assist them. We began to follow the tracks south and barely made it south of Milton before we saw another headlight. We parked at Nickel Plate Road (how ironic), and after a couple minutes engineer Branden Bailey was bringing the green GATX SW8 solo to rescue the train.

Title:  GMTX 728
Description:  We considered shooting the train in town but decided that we wanted a nice open field shot south of town so we decided to wait on the train at Nickel Plate Road. A little waiting went by and the three engines came by, still struggling to pull the long train. Never in my life did I think Id ever see an end cab switcher pulling basically a unit coal train. Everything was right for this shot, and this one summed up the whole day. Perfect.

MAW 4 and CNUR 20
Title:  MAW 4 and CNUR 20
Description:  The SW8 detaches from the GP7u and the GP38-2 and gets parked closer to the shops while MAW 4 and CNUR 20 stay put on the main closer to the yard office. And just like that the chase is done. Ive done a lot of fun trips, but this had to have been one of the most fun. Documenting a railway that hardly anyone has seen in operation was absolutely wild. Im glad TJ convinced me to stay after things were looking down when we arrived. This easily will go down as one of the best trips of my lifetime.
